I freaking love this scene so much, you dont even know. Its so heartmeltingly cute: they’re discovering his powers together! They’re in on the secret together!!! Mason being presumably the first person to actually, seriously just reach out to Corey, just some feeling of warmth. Its what Corey probably needed so much after losing Lucas in such a way, not to mention his parents. No wonder he fell so hard
Its also so much fun to compare this scene to the Liam-Mason Gym Scene in Season 4 Episode 5, just the contrasts.. *chef’s kiss*

It can't be unlearned
I've known the warmth of your doorways
Through the cold, I'll find my way back to you
Oh please, give me mercy no more!
It's a kindness you can't afford!
I want you baby tonight, as sure as you're born

Y’know what, because i need it. Morey + Seperation Anxiety. Its literally canonical.
Mason and Corey are almost never sperated. After Mason blacks out so many times only to commit egregious murders, he clings to Corey so he’s in full mind. Corey’s grown up with neglectful parents who dont even notice him dying, his first boyfriend is presumably tortured and then murdered, he stays with Mason so much to relish the feeling of having someone who loves him.
Alongside all of that, Corey literally gets taken by the Ghost Riders the second they seperate. There’s so much risk of supernatural terror and fear, i imagine that they’d despise having to face it alone and why should they, if they have each other?
Its everywhere in the show but its so obvious in 6x02. They’re with each other doing physics at 9pm. Corey texts Mason outside the school after three seconds alone then goes in to find him. Corey evesdropping on Liam and Mason camoflauged.

I’m on a roll here so i wanna go on another Morey tangent
What I truly love about them is just how different they are in expressing the way they love and why exactly theyre like that. Mason from the start reaches out to people because he’s never experienced negative consequences of doing so, so he’s unselfish with his own respect and love. From what we’ve seen he’s had two loving parents. Corey on the other hand grew up a victim of his parent’s neglect and so he does’nt. Add in Lucas’s entire impact onto him and Corey probably felt no desire to reach out to people.
And so Mason does first, and Corey opens up to him in a way we don’t see him doing with anyone else.
Corey in a contrast to Mason reads off as being more particular. he drags Mason away from Scott and Liam with the high chance that the Dread Doctors would find them, he stays invisible during the fight against le bete/the hunters, he’s just not willing to reach out because nobody has ever reached out to him, and the ones who do (Theo) aren’t good.
Idk, it feels to me that the relationship being so strong and stable is something Corey would want to cherish, but specifically because Mason’s the only one who’s ever truly tried with him. So why would he bother with the rest of the Pack? “I’ve already told you, your friends arent my friends” so its something morey have spoken about often. But when we see that its interfereing with Mason, “He may feel as if he has to choose” That’s when Corey decides to reach out to Liam.
TLDR: Mason’s love isnt selfish, Corey’s is because everyone’s regards with him also have been, but Corey reconsiles for Mason

The way Lucas is in my head is like, pre-dread doctors trauma bonded with Corey and severely anxious but undiagnosed leading to him having a low libido despite very much being gay/wanting to be normal. Like he very much needed help but dragged himself along and was misunderstood a lot. Corey's parental neglect gave him invisibility powers, i imagine that Lucas had a lot of buried rage that he bit down leading him to feel even more fucked up and lauding him into getting scorpion stingers/venom post-dread doctors.
Obviously there's no proof of this whatsoever but i like the idea of Lucas willingly going along with the dread doctors because hey, if it works then it works and just not exactly understanding what he was getting himself into, which fits into the whole "better to survive" moral code he and Corey both exhibited to Mason and spiralling downwards hard after waking up from the grave. Considering how he wasn't spewing mercury and was just murdered by them in sinema i do wonder if he knew more than they wanted him to and the doctors wanted nothing getting out, which paints a pretty horrific scene considering just how screwed up he was once confronted (especially if he retained all his memories...)

Alright wait.
The scene in s5 where Scott+Liam learn Mason’s the Beast and then Corey drags him away?
The reason Scott freaked out so hard was because Corey was still in Theo’s Pack and none of then knew him how Mason knew him.
They both fully believed Corey was dragging Mason to Theo.
